What experience do I need to become a Groggy Dog promotional products franchise owner?
We seek candidates who have a background in sales and excel in customer service. We want “people” people. We prefer franchisees who will be dedicated owner-operators either as inside customer service representatives or outside sales people, with the ability to place someone in the other vacant role. We look for qualified, driven individuals who are dedicated to their communities.
What is provided as part of Groggy Dog’s promotional products franchise opportunity?
We will provide complete pre-opening, 6-day training program for franchisees at corporate headquarters in the Dallas area, and training for a second team member for 3-6 days. Franchisees receive a confidential Operations Manual, detailing important operational procedures, reporting, sales and marketing, quality control, and more. Franchisees have complete access to the Groggy Dog exclusive print/design library and can rest assured that all centralized production is provided by the Groggy Dog home office.
How much will the Groggy Dog franchise investment cost me?
The total initial investment for a Groggy Dog franchise is estimated to range from $126,150 to $263,650, including a $37,500 initial franchise fee. As with any new venture, it’s important to have adequate capital to fund the initial business growth stages.
Is financing available?
We do not provide direct financing to franchisees; however, we have established relationships for financing on a case by case basis.
Are there ongoing fees to pay?
We charge a royalty fee equal to the greater of (a) 6% of your weekly Gross Sales or (b) the following weekly minimum amount: (i) $225 during your first year of operation; (ii) $350 during your second year of operation; (iii) $425 during your third year of operation; (iv) $460 during your fourth year of operation; and (v) $520 during your fifth and subsequent years of operation. These fees would allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of product and supply channels, marketing tools, training programs and systems upgrades.
Are there any advertising fees?
Franchisees will be required to spend 3% of their business’s prior month’s gross revenues on local marketing activities in their territories. Franchisees must also contribute 1% of monthly gross revenues into the system marketing fund. Collected funds may be used to develop marketing strategies to promote the Groggy Dog brand, or to fund the creative costs to develop a broad range of local marketing materials and activities as we see fit.
What is the term of the agreement?
The initial term of your agreement is five years, with two subsequent successor agreement options of five years each.
